I look at the forums as a bit of stress release for a relatively textbook middle-class life. The only thing I'm missing is the dog - got a house, got Retrowife, got two precocious kiddles, got a house, got a job in the IT sector as a midline manager, that sort of thing.
Best place in the world is my wife's camp - I'm lucky enough to have access to a private lake in the middle of deep woods Canada, with the nearest cell phone repeater behind a nearby mountain. Sometimes getting away from the web is the real ticket.
Burning my mortgage. Well, okay... *visualizing* burning my mortgage. Retrowife doesn't let me play with matches.
Me and a friend arguing over how to destroy an artifact in dungeons and dragons, many years ago...
Me: "Hey, all these methods are friggin' impossible... wait, here's one. It says you can destroy it by crushing it against the foot of a humble ant."
Him: "That's pretty hard too."
Me: "What do you mean? All you need is an ant!"
Him: "Yeah, but how do you know it's humble?"
